Teman Road resident Harvey Waldbauer is please to find out he has been selected by the FDA to appear as a warning label on cigarette packs starting in 2011.
Walbauer's picture shows him lying on a bed in room 119 of St. Mary's hospital in Richmond, Virginia, immediately following his open heart surgery. Waldbauer looks dead but he insists he was "only sleeping". The picture was taken by his wife, Lurleen.
"The thing is, the heart surgery was not a result of smoking" says the eleted Doswell man as he cut into a rib-eye steak and fried egg breakfast in the St., Mary's cafeteria, where has remained a resident since his surgery on August 25. "My heart exploded from a diet of Jelly roll filling and bacon grease. I've never smoked in my life."
"Harvey always was photogenic," says Lurleen, eager to cash in on her husband's new-found fame, "but he can never seem to keep his eyes open during picture-taking!"
Expect to start seeing more of Harvey starting early next year,
