Doswell Man Lands the Henderson Account

North Teman Road resident and senior account executive Paul Holdfield (left) finally landed the elusive Henderson account last Thursday, ending years of attemps by lesser reps of his firm.

“I did it with grit, pluck, hard work and determination,” states the elated executive, as he stokes his meerschaum pipe with Captain Black and helps himself to a decanter of office Brandy, courtesy of his crusty but benign boss, Mr. McAdam. “and a little pizzazz didn’t hurt.”

“Most account reps thought the Henderson account was untouchable,” says Mr. McAdam as he crossed his legs and folded his hands thoughtfully in front of his face, “But Paul is a winner from the get-go. He refused to listen to the naysayers. I’m proud to have him on the team. And his wife Babs, well, she’s just a pip.”

“And by the way, Paul,” Mr. McAdam added, “I’ll be putting in a good word for you down at the club – we’re looking for motivated go-getters with the right stuff. You’ll be a grand addition. Cocktails on Tuesday?”
