SCOOP! Newsfromdoswell Blog Makes Deal With Obama Administration to get first Question at Next Press Conference

Special: the blog Newsfromdoswell.com has struck a deal with Obama Administration Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton to get to ask the first question at the President's next press conference, tentatively scheduled in July, 2009.

"Why should the Huffington Post get all the PR when Newsfromdoswell is perfectly capable of asking a similarly pertinent question?" asked blogger Dale Brumfield (left), responding to yesterday's conference when Huffington Post blogger Nico Pitney was called on first by the President, some say under dubious circumstances. "And while I am a big fan of Mr. Pitney's copy machines, I hardly think he should be the only blogger at the center of world news."

Newsfromdoswell says he hopes his background check pans out in time for the big day, and that he will be available to afford a bus ticket to DC. "How closely do they check backgrounds anyway?" he asked, "Are outstanding warrants considered a part of your background check?" He also says he plans to wear a shirt at the press conference.

Brumfield says he is kicking around several questions to ask the President when the big moment arrives. "I might ask the President if hemorrhoids and infections from tattooed foreheads would be covered under his single-payer health care system proposal, and I'm still wondering if this is a tick or a skin tag," he said, pointing to a suspicious lump on the back of his neck, "so I might ask that. We'll see."
