“Doswell People’s News” seen as alternative to Doswell mainstream media
Peggy’s son, the Doswell “conceptual artist” who sometimes goes by the name “Space Moniker 5” has announced he is starting a competing blog to Newsfromdoswell to combat the stranglehold the current Doswell blog has on local news, arts and music reporting.
“My blog will not, nor ever be beholden to big business at the expense of local arts and music coverage, which has been so sorely lacking” whines the skinny, pasty artist whom no one finds artistic or even interesting. “My blog will put Doswell arts and music on the forefront, with no concessions to the Doswell mega-corporations that tear the soul straight from the heart of local arts.”
When asked when the blog is going up, Peggy’s son was evasive. “Right now the blog is undergoing a design revision,” he muttered, noting that “Fantastic blogs and websites do not go up overnight, nor without some false starts due to questionable IT talents of certain friends who talk a good line.”
“Space Moniker” also noted his blog’s motto is going to be “Make it happen!”, and will be themed on a daily basis. “Mondays I will feature local music coverage,” he claimed, “Tuesdays will be Grateful Dead day; Wednesday will be Ladies Night; Thursday will feature arts coverage – and of course, Friday will be Talent Roundup day.”
“I predict Doswell People’s News will ‘usurp and surpass’ the thousands of hits Newsfromdoswell gets on a daily basis within a week,” SM5 boldly predicts. “It will just go to prove that the folks of Doswell are hungry for the raw arts coverage only I can deliver. That is, as soon as I deliver.”
Peggy’s son predicts Doswell People’s News will be up no later than either June 10 or August 29. Newsfromdoswell promises to herald its arrival with great fanfare.
